Oh my take on halfburn,s comment I will put my 2 pennies in. I don't think it will make anyone happy if you burned out. Me for one does not want that to happen and I think I speak for most on here. I could be wrong though. Just git r dun.

i didnt take you as critical or bashing, i took you as being a wuss by your defetist statements and complete illogic. I guess thats my little mistake for even trying to respond to a moron who lives in a world where their truck has a mind of its own. I'm not going to respond anymore to slackers who think the world operates at the level of their own shortcomings and failures.

Dont listen to this aggitator guys, being tough minded is not an option for his kind.

ok, goin back to work today, went to san angelo to buy a phone, they wanted a 400 dollar deposit for verizon and made it sound like they were doing me a favor and tried to use muscle sales tactics and force me to a quick decision, i told him quickly i heard enough and walked away.

got to train someone tonight i think, its a really complicated matter, nobody else wants to train this person, its a long story. Got plenty of long stories here but i just take it as a challenge and believe you me, theres plenty of them here.

burnout is a challenge and a reality but its not something i ever acknowledge because i think its weak minded and i personally dont want to hear about any of it, if 90% gets burned out from workin too much, then i choose to be the 10%, god knows there are plenty of others who do the same, so long hours in my opinion is nothing speacial or exceptional, its a simple choice of deciding to just do it or not and leave it at that......if you burn out, then you burn out but i make a pledge that i will continue with my schedule no matter what. I know what its like to feel a recession and abused by corporations who lead you in circles and make you feel like a moron all for the sake of just wanting to work.

Here in the oil field, its straight up, no resumes, no dicking around, you talk face to face with someone and say you want to work and they give you a fair shot. I think thats fair and square enough and in return i'll show my appreciation by making them happy. They like long hours and so do i, so there you go, go and get it.

    see ya guys later.

hmmm, the most i can work this week is about 77.25 hours because of how my day off fell this week. I dont know if 3k is possible, its gonna be close but no cigar, nothing i can do about it, hey wait a minute, i miss counted, it will be 86.25 hours i can work this week total, man this is gonna be close. All i can do is work the most i legally can this week and see what happens, its basically 178 hours vs. 169 hours or so from last check, lol its gonna be close.

    3k

Hey Paul, my friend that u spoke with was just down there and stopped in Three Rivers to apply. One of the drivers there has got him under the impression that they are not working as much as you do in Sonora and that they provide housing for their drivers on a ranch. Do you have any insight on the major differences? If he applies and is hired in Three Rivers does he have the option to come to Sonora? What is the transfer policy?

A moron maybe, but far from a wuss. I still consider myself a rookie, but Ive been out here almost 9 years and just recently hit a million accident free miles and no I'm no steering wheel holder or no door swinger. [no disrespect to you van drivers there]. My job may not be as hard as yours, but I pull a pneumatic tanker and I have to hook up hoses, climb up and down the trailer to open and close hatches, load and unload product such as sand, clay, limestone etc. Now as far as accident free miles take some skill, but at the same time a little luck is involved as I have run some crazy hours[24 to 36 hours with no or very little sleep, just with a lot of caffine nothing illegal of course] and after a period of time for me anyway things start happening out there. A missed gear here and there, seeing tail lights that are not there or missing a turn. Now I don't have to explain my experiences to anyone, but all I was getting at that after a period of time burning the candle at both ends will take a toll on most, maybe not some. I'm no doctor or claim to be one, all I'm saying is that it can happen after so long to some people. Call me a moron, a wuss or whatever you like, but we learn out here everyday, because each day is a new experience. In closing even though you have resorted to name calling, I do wish you much success and many years of safe driving and no ill will whatsoever.

Oh by the way guys. I did all that crazy stuff early in my career, not so much nowadays. Electronic logs helped stop that:biggrin_25520:
