No offense,I consider myself a very good driver.Ive been well trained, just had a couple of stupid moments early in my career.Bent a trailer rim one time, and nudged my landing step on a metal pole below my line of site.Less than 250 dollars on both. But still they happened.Thats all that could be on my dac.Ill give them a try.Like you say it cant hurt to try. Thanks guys,be safe.

You know why ABF trucks never have more than 10 gears?

The drivers run out of fingers to count on!:yes2557:

Just be honest. I wrecked a truck before I came to ABF. Quite bit more than $250! I wrecked on I-30 right there by downtown Dallas. I was honest, and ABF still hired me. I wouldn't worry.

And ABF doesn't pull the DAC report. They pull it nor report to it. If those couple moments are not on your drivers record, don't put it on the app. but still be honest about in an interview.

I think with 2 minor incidents like that you will be fine froggy.

We have a driver that had totaled 2 tractors at Yellow and they still hired him (we were still Overnite Transportation then)

Since then he has had 4 accidents including hitting 2 low bridges.

He still has his job though...Thanks to Stoneys brothers at the union hall...

Thats unbelievable,Id get canned for one low bridge.I quess thats where the union comes in.Four accidents I couldnt even fathom having four accidents of that caliber.Unbelievable.Do they not have any grounds for dismissal even though he is union.

Well the way it generally works here is, have an accident, get fired automatically, and the union gets you your job back one way or another.

One driver came in drunk and started his shift. He drove around the yard but didnt leave. He got his job back.

One driver was caught dumping pieces of freight behind a dumpster because he hated the consignee and had a personal beef with one of the dock guys, and he signed the delivery receipts. Got his job back!

So basically get in with a Teamsters shop, and do whatever the hell you want until the day your retire.
