i agree, i didnt mean to be unrespectfull at all. ill try to fight it in Ontario, Canada court, even its ok to pay. but if its gonna effect my New York CDL ill be criminal, because log book violation is misdemeanor in New York.

I would think that would only apply IF you were ticketed for violation IN NY state. It still may affect your license but you cant be charged with an offense in two places for the single/same act.
-
Well you said "logbook violation" thats breaking the law regarding HOS right? But if you were legal at the time when you got the ticket and you fuel with a card you can get your fuel records and submit them in trial and you will win no biggie. But if you altered your logbook well then your screwed.

thank you im reading it now. good to know. i wish there would be something about log books too...

From what I found is slim. Canada running in the US is subject to CSA2010. But I couldn't find anything about inspections up there. All the FMCSA rules relate to interstate commerce and you running in the US.
There is 383.31 which requires you, if you get a ticket in another state or jurisdiction which Canada is, you have 30 days to report it back to your home state.
Being a non-moving CMV logbook violation, it will not put any points on your MVR.
And without a USDOT inspection report I highly doubt you would even get any points on your CSA2010. If you did, it would only be 7 pts x 3 which isn't nothing. You'd need about 4 of them violations in the next 3 years to be a problem.
The main thing is to pay the ticket. Canada will put a Canadian only warrant out on you and you won't make it across the border next time. Don't forget about the currency exchange.skytrucker Thanks this. -
see that's what i think. there is jurisdiction kinda stuff i guess. though im not sure about it. im gonna ask lawyer about it tomorrow. hope they'll give me right info...

That link shows an agreement between Ontario and New York but only pertains to drinking, drugs, manslaughter and reckless driving. Those, they will reciprocate a suspension.

yes it's breaking Ontario, Canada law. and iam really sorry about it. but if i got ticket in Canada "they have statute pointing that CDL driver should have supporting documents/ fuel, toll, motel, food etc receipts" do you think it will effect NY CDL. because i dont know if we have the same statute saying CDL driver "MUST" carry receipts for let say 8 days. Canada check point officer ask me receipts for 14 days. and no DOT officer in States ever ask me for that. do you think NY will prosecute me for that? well if i loose my case. i got lawyer so hope ill be fine.
-
yes i see it. i just dont undestand how it work for Canadian-American CDL drivers? thouse regulations, do you think log book violations different, and they dont exchange any info between them?
and i dont have a problem with paying fine, just dont wont to loose my CDL. im the only provider now and im worried a lot about it.
yes and THANK YOU ALL for yout time and replies. it helps really
