not sure what you mean by this -
it tells me to go to the next exit get off and go south to the next exit and take the exit and bypass the route I am taking...

If you take an exit/truckstop that is not on your trip on the TND it will think you are going out of route and recalculate. You may/may not get the same route again. It looks at this like a new trip.

You can go to preference/route/recalculation - turn to manual. It will route you on your trip and if you go off route it will not recalculate. Once you go back to your orginal route it will pick up again.

    Thanks,
    mark

    OKAY
    1. If I am going to a truck stop on my route why would it give me another route to get there?
    2. manual recalculate hardly ever works on my unit I can go to a truck stop or even a reststop right off the interstate and six out of ten times it does not pick up again. I have even drove 20 miles on the route and still says has the recalculate button...

    1. - Example?

    2. - When you go back on route, do you go back to the same route as the route line shows?

    Thanks,

I am working on something in the background on this for you.

Unless your unit has an hardware issue, but I rule this out since your odometers record. We have tested here and cannot duplicate this issue.

But, I have not given up. Waiting on an E-Mail from my boss.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    another question.

On the TND itself, under the RM/user folder. Do you see a file called truck.db-journal?

    Thanks,
    mark

I would connect to the TND Dock first and do a Backup (not full) and after the SD Card update do a Restore (not full). Then after the restore you can do an update off the Dock, but not before you do a restore.

    Turn the TND off.
    Plug into AC.
    Insert SD card.
    Turn TND on.

It will take about 30 minutes to update.

You will see a small window and when it says "Update Complete or Done", Turn the TND off.

    Remove SD Card.
    Turn on the TND.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks,
    Mark
