does anyone know if Werner makes you sign a contract?

It's never as bad as the worst stories you hear. Neither is it as great as the best stories.

There are people who are happy at Werner. Associate yourself with them and try to stay away from the negativity.

 

This from an email I received yesterday, 1/17 from Prime regarding training. " Yes you will complete 40,000 combined team miles with the trainer. This would be more like 3MO or 4(considering weather in some states about now) @ about approx.. 10,000 in average a month. If this goes faster will be done faster. It will be when completing 40,000 combined team miles. I will be arranging travel a week prior to coming in. "

For the better part of year I've researched high and low for the 'best' company. Prime is second, subjectively.

 

I had a good trainer and trained in a 2011 Cascadia running dedicated for Tropicana from Florida to California. Made my hours in 5 weeks.

And no, no contract to sign as a company driver.

 

Good luck Dewey. I've been on a training truck with werner for 2 weeks now. Its not that bad. My trainer has no personality but he's a good teacher. I'm around a 100 hrs so far. Would be more if disbatch would keeps us rolling. Don't pack a lot, just what you need. Bring a laptop, if ya have one, or something to keep ya occupied during down time. Be safe
