Shouldn't take you long to get to work once you get there. Hazmat test is 30 questions here. I'm hoping for my BG check to be completed this week.

I have been reading as much as possible regarding oil field jobs.I hope you keep posting your experience getting a job.I'm not one for cold weather so ND is out.I don't mind the hours but little old for labor.Its hard to find any current info seems all are dated.A lot of messages say getting a job will be a snap but in my case don't want to come there and be left without job.I will have a lot of expense getting there since i am currently in the philippines.I will appreciate any info you may submit to all looking for info/jobs.Thanks

Any information pointing me to a general direction where I can lease my truck on would be greatly appreciated. I am looking for work in that South Texas area, or Victoria...any where I can cut my teeth. Thanks!

Ive been doin otr for a couple months as i am a newbie, but seeing these guys that are also newbies bringing home double what i am, has me ready to drive to texas and start my own search for a job there. My questions are how realistic is it that i can get a job as a newbie there and if i could get a job there what would be the best area to look in to relocate a family? My record is clean and my liscense is clean. No blemishes at all. I just wanna make money but ive been through midland/odessa and that would be fine to work in but doesnt seem like the place to bring the wife n kids. Any advice is helpful and thanks in advance!!

Well, you need experience for the most part. My husband is a deisel mech in odessa starting mon (jan 23). His supervisor said dont move to teh west side of odessa, thats the bad area. He said for me, as a driver i have the pick of the place lol..... lots to choose from. the only way we can relocate with 3 kids is his company has a relocation assistance and our taxers are coming in. we r moving from PA though...1700mi out. Majority iof the places are looking for either 6mo otr or 1-2yrs otr. My personal 2 cents... stay out there a yr. if you are not making enough right now, move to another otr company. but you NEED the experience. i know it seems liek a few months out there and we think we know what we need to know lol,, but it is the companies insurances that want 2yr experience.... they r getting crazy with it. keep yout chin up, the grass always seems greener on teh other side....but just remember, the manure that grows that grass stinks all the same lol
Blue Screen Thanks this. -
"Heartbreaker"
Hey fellas, have you heard the news? You know that Annie's back in town?
It won't take long just watch and see how the fellas lay their money down.
Her style is new but the face is the same as it was so long ago,
But from her eyes, a different smile like that of one who knows.
Well, it's been ten years and maybe more since I first set eyes on you.
The best years of my life gone by, here I am alone and blue.
Some people cry and some people die by the wicked ways of love;
But I'll just keep on rollin' along with the grace of the Lord above.
People talkin' all around 'bout the way you left me flat,
I don't care what the people say, I know where their jive is at.
One thing I do have on my mind, if you can clarify please do,
It's the way you call me by another guy's name when I try to make love to you.
I try to make love but it ain't no use.
Give it to me
Give it
Work so hard I couldn't unwind, get some money saved;
Abuse my love a thousand times, however hard I tried.
Heartbreaker, your time has come, can't take your evil way;
Go away, Heartbreaker.
Heartbreaker!
Heartbreaker!
