Especially the ones that are not wide enough to keep your trailer from riding on the curb. At least they make the curbs low.
All these traffic engineers should be made to ride in a truck for a couple of days before they start designing road ways, they would do things a lot different. And don't put a dang pole or sign right on the corner of a real tight turn.

Nothing to add that hasn't already been said, this just reminds me of the time after going through a roundabout, some lady pulled up to me at the next light several miles later, got my attention and mentioned that she called my truck in on me for taking the turn "real wide" and blocking her from getting around.

I just smiled and thanked her for letting the company know I was doing my job right. :biggrin_25523:

Do the wickenburg ones at least once a week, the first one NB is set up for trucks pretty well, the second one, especially if you are stretched out for a heavy long load is not. Why they can make one good and the other one bad is beyond me, ADOT should have made them both the same. Fernley is usually good cause there was little traffic last time I was there, been a while, don't go there much any more.:biggrin_25517:

He's the same one that designs cloverleaves on busy interstates. We find him, I'll hold him for ya! :)

Had a roundabout last week. needed to be in the outside lane but kept my tandems in the inside lane to block it.. Had a straight truck propane hauler try and pull out beside my trailer assuming by my tandems I was taking the inside lane. Well he was in my blind spot and got a shock when I started straightening out for my exit off the roundabout and he had no where to go. He should have known better, being a cdl holder with a hazmat required to drive that truck, than to pull out besdide a trailer on a roundabout.

    Higgy Thanks this.

One of the stupidest ideals that a highway engineer ever come up with! And to think some poor man or woman worked and saved all their life to send a idiot to college.
