I just told my dispatcher (not from TA), "Look, just give me the other drivers phone number and we'll figure out the best place to swap at, and what time we'll each make it there."

Maybe, maybe not. They have to pay for each entry into the DAC.

 

Back at terminal for last week of training. I've passed all the test so far and just have to do the backing. On Monday and Tuesday they didn't really push the leasing so much as just really tell you the details of it and tell you you'll make more. But this morning(Wednesday) it's been talked about a lot and how little you'll make as company etc etc etc. So far though over half the class is going company.

 

I went to Trans Am to go to work. In two days I was lied to three times. First, you only get $50.00 for orientation. Second, they don't have new trucks. The wanted me to buy a 2008 and still pay $600.00/ week for it. Third, you have to use their insurance.you can't go outside and get physical damage. There is no way that pd should be $541.67 a month for a 2008. They aren't a good company. Your recruiter will lie to get you there and then you have to get your self home. Think before you go. If it sounds too good normally its a disaster waiting to happen.

 

Well, it sounds like you should have read the forums and gone company. And I think you probably just didn't listen bcuz it is $50 for the 3 day orientation then $50 a day after that.

 

Basically the fleece program at trans am is as follows...

Pay trans am to drive their equipment while taking home $$0.00.

 

Isn't that about the same as most other fleece programs???
