So, what if complying with the order can/does self-incriminate? Doesn't that violate my Constitutional rights?

Make no mistake, some of us realize that EVERYTHING we say or do CAN be used against us... Moreover, nothing we say or do will be used for our defense.

Many LEO's like to model themselves after Nazi Germany's Gestapo, however... some of us do realize that we are still Amercans protected by our Constitution.

    Interesting, to say the least.

Are Federal Regulations laws? If not, how can they be enforced?

If a state law can 'Trump' A Federal Regulation(law)... Can a Federal Regulation ever 'Trump' a state law? If so, under what circumstances?

My own limited understanding is that the more stringent of the two in a given situation is the standard of the moment.

    LOL!

Kind of like the LEO I seen last week speeding past me(70-80MPH) in a 65 zone.

Only to be seen a few minutes later pulling into a coffee/douhnut shop filled with other LEO cars. Apparently, due to the 'stringent' implication that all the glazed ones sell out quick. :biggrin_2559:

Federal regs are NOT laws. My understanding is that individual states adopt those regs as law so that they don't lose federal funding. At the same time some states add stricter laws if they deem necessary.

But the other part of your question is that federal laws DO trump state laws....just as state laws trump city ordinances. But you have to pursue your case to the higher court.

Actually, federal laws trump state laws only in areas where the federal government is delegated authority by the Constitution.

Oh, wait! Thanks to FDR and a farmer was feeding his critter his own grain, and therefore affecting interstate commerce; :biggrin_2554: this Pandora's box of over-reaching laws was opened. :biggrin_25516:
