OK, correct me if I'm wrong. There is a new reg that says you have to take your medical card to your State and have it tied to your CDL drivers license in their computer system. There is a deadline coming up (couldn't find out the date) that if you don't have it done they will pull your license. I went today and did it. You have to go back and redo it every time you get a new medical card. Has anyone heard of this or am I the only one who has done it? This is in Georgia but the way I understood it, it's nationwide.
Just a heads up.

I believe it's extemded to 2013 or 2014 for the states to get their crap together. But not for the drivers to get on board. I could be wrong though, I was once before.

Been mandatory for years in CA.

All part of the long plan for years.

It was Jan 30. Some states are implementing, some have a 2 year extension to get their act together. You can check on your individual states drivers license website. They show what is needed to bring with you.
I know TN is. -

I don't know why everyone's crying about this. Ca./Az. and others been doing it forever. Drop by DMV and it takes a minute, or mail it in. Even as much as Ca. DMV is busy, the "check in here" gal will enter it in the system on the spot.
-
The reason some people like myself are crying for is because Ive been to 2 DMV's and called the number on the letter and have gotten 3 different answers about it. 1 laughed and said "they put the cart before the horse" dont worry about it until you get another letter. 1 said "what are you talking about, even after showing them the letter they were lost" The 3rd I called the main DMV and they said do it when your license expires.
