It may be worth the money to have a lawyer write a letter asking about this discrimination going on. Sometimes seeing a law firm letterhead will make people sit up and pay attention. Just a thought.

How could they expect less? What you guys have been going through is almost "CR England-ish". How could they expect to keep experienced drivers with no miles and the Sleep-Ap cluster****?

Right now I'm keeping all options open. Your right I already have the time in and have the insurance. My bones to pick with jbs are simple issues. But I know they won't and will not change. The 2 biggest issues for me personally is the detention time, and the mileage pay. They say I get .40 per mile. When in reality its .30 per mile with a .10 per deim. I rather have the option of choosing the per deim or not. So when it breaks down. I'm getting paid like I did back in 1997 when I first started trucking. And with the lack of pay .40 if you wanna count it that way. I'm at my max rate with no raise to be had.

Per diem is reallly not that big of a deal your gettin .40 a mile per diem dosent give you a pay cut like you make it sound, and guess what pretty much every company has it..

OMG it keeps getting funnier. Hubby had a call this AM from the medical company and they said they were going to have the DR call him to explain why he was flagged for sleep test. Hubby brought up that he was NEVER asked any sleep questions and was flagged for his numbers which are actually UNDER what JBS told him are their required numbers as they are going by DOT recommendations.( or as the HEAD of our safety claims it is already DOT regulation) THIS women told him he is incorrect the numbers are 28 BMI with a 17 inch neck. YES ladies and gentleman you heard that right.
THIS employee who consults and advises JBS believes that to get flagged for the sleep test you only need to be over a 29 BMI. So now we have 3 different answers from 3 different people who supposedly run our company and their JOB is to know this stuff. How do you have a company policy but not really know what it is? How do you make people spend a few hundred dollars of their own money on a test that by DOT's recommendations they shouldn't be required to take? But then claim you HAVE TO because its REGULATION. How do you run the safety dept and not KNOW the difference between a recommendation and a regulation. How do you run the safety dept and not even KNOW how DOT works?

    Daniel.trawick and tankerman1974 Thank this.
