No problem man. Here's the main issues. The training pay. At $300 a week divide by the max 70 hrs equals $4.28 a hour. Jbs ought to be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of driver. But it also don't stop there. Even with experience they only pay a whopping .30 per mile with a .10 per deim. Big whoopy do .40 per mile. What a joke.

I personally don't like these questions. Everywhere you go there are issues. the question is which issues are you willing to put up with. I for one would NEVER agree to a year with anyone cause you don't know if its going to fit for you or not. I know many newbies that quit as soon as there 6 months are up because they are starving and I know others who do quite well. It all depends on your DM and YOU and if the stars align KWIM? There is no one answer for everyone EXCEPT IMO NEVER EVER agree to stay anywhere for any amount of time. pay for your CDL yourself. As far as the training pay. Yep your going to get really low pay for how many ever weeks is decided you need to train. Thats another way they( trucking companies not JBS only) get you because you are fresh out of school. The schools anymore really are just pimps for the long haul companies. Sorry but true.

AGAIN so not the point. If hubby has it( which I seriously doubt) I of course want him to get the treatment he needs. This ongoing problem has NOTHING to do with that.

It is about how do you treat your drivers? when you make new rules how do you get it around to everyone or do you even bother? Do you even know what your own rule is? Randy says they tell the drivers once they get to orientation. Why do you wait until orientation? why when your told what you need to do to qualify to work here isn't it mentioned? Show me ONE PERSON who knew if they took the test ...and failed...they would then sit a MINIMUM of 2 weeks no pay before they would be allowed to drive again. We deal with drivers straight out of orientation ALL THE TIME. Haven't had one know that yet.

What about your drivers that have been here awhile how do you get info to them? He says he can't. He could though start leaving it at terminals. How often is your average driver at a terminal? Who is responsible to make sure ALL of your employees are informed of any and all new rules? Most importantly do the rules apply to everyone equally?? Or is it a role of the dice as to which office you go to....which Dr you happen to get....or which safety person happens to be on duty?

I am amazed more are not outraged by this type of company climate and can't see past the test. THIS IS NOT ABOUT TAKING THE TEST, Its about whats right and fair to ALL. I guess maybe until your specifically treated unfairly you don't care about others( no you in particular but saying YOU in general here) BUT I always care that ALL drivers are treated fairly as I am sure you know from previous posts sticking up for YOU and your wife. :) when there was no benefit to me what so ever.

Mamam, what you fail to realize is that Brain has been one of the biggest inspirations in my career even thou he eats Jello ppudding and a coke and a smile (inside joke) and I love him like a brother and my main interest is not losing one of the best guys i have ever met I am not trying to bash anyone or any company for their rules butI am worried about my friends health, and want to keep the Saqsquash around for a while I dont care about rules or regualations what we are talking about is a friends health.like i stated before i lost my brother for the same reason and i dont want to lose another. thata all i have to say about it,i do not care about jbs,dot or there rules i just care about my friends health.

let me set 1 thing straight mr. tankerman.i am no ones cheerleader.jbs is one of the companies i have been looking at.i have been unemployed since july of 2011 due to a major heart attack where i had to be recusitated in the cardiac cath lab. i got 2 stents placed. i was told my driving career might be over.i worked my butt off to get better to the point now my cholesteral is in the normal range,i'm off the insulin i had to go on in the hospital.and last week,i took a nucular stress test which was to be the last test before i was released to go back too work.it showed a problem.i underwent another cardiac cath this morning which i needed no new stents.so i'm hoping i will be cleared for work by the end of next week.not one time during this process have i got on this sight and whined like a little b*t*h such as you have.you where given 6 months warning to take care of this, you ignored it.somehow that's not your fault.when people ask me about my attack,i take the blame.noone forced me hit the fast food stands instead of eating healthy.it was me.:biggrin_25516:

Your right I had 6 months to take of this. But in the same token I also couldn't afford to take time off. I'm glad your happy to be at jbs. I'm not and when people ask for my opinion I will state it so. I have said many times in here jbs could be a good company. The key word is "could" but with the many incompetent office management its never gonna happen. I'm sorry for your heart attack. But when your lucky to bring home 1100-1300 in 2 weeks I couldn't afford to take time off for a silly ### test that's not even mandated by dot. So yea you maybe happy at jbs and good for you. I know I'm worth a whole lot more then $1300 dam bucks in 2 weeks after living in a dam box for six weeks out on the road. So if I offended you tuff *hit. Grow up and man up.
