Will Ca. allow coil racks now, or do you still need to build the wood cradle for them and nail it to the deck?
Been alot of years since I've hauled coils from Ca.
But one time I put them in coil racks and was real happy how they looked. Then a Ca. steel hauler tells me at that time it was not legal and I had to build a wood rack and nail it to the trl. deck.
I thought he was b.s. me, but he helped me build the rack and I reset the coils.

None....I've never seen a Prime truck there.

That's probably why we still get a good rate out of there....I've never seen TMC, Melton, Swift or any of the other rate cutting bottom feeders in there either.

That is pretty surprising. In my experience US Steel is great at finding the most "cost effective" carrier to move their steel.

It isn't your fault that your carrier and a lot of other carriers see fit to go in and undercut rates to the point that no one in their right mind would stoop to hauling the freight.

I realize that you gotta work to.....But I don't like what your carrier does to the rates whenever they try to weasel into a good account.

I see these same loads posted on load boards for a LOT less than he offers them to me for.

Sad thing is....There are idiots out there that take them at those cheap rates.

    SHC and FREEBRD Thank this.

    What is your profit margin?

Oh, I don't care I getting 2500 miles this week. Big check...
