Check with Expedited Logistics out of Houston. They do alot of hotshot. I don't know how the Houston terminal is but the terminal by my house is really good to work with.

Insurance will be your BIGGEST hurdle, if no one will insure you, you're screwed. IF you do get insured, being young, your insurance is gonna be HIGH. Good luck.

Just what do you consider a sleeper on a 1 ton ? Logging sleeper when lacking a sleeper that fails to meet FMCSA specs is one of the violations DOT officers nail 1 ton operators for . http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/rules-regulations/administration/fmcsr/fmcsrruletext.aspx?reg=393.76
Dually 1 tons lack the width . Even on 1 semi tractors the sleeper is wider than the cab .
One sleeper manufacturer met the width requirement by making bubble extensions for the windows . The bunk was then so high it didn't meet the height above mattress requirement .

I doubt it Gary'sd guys have newer truck with a longer wheelbase . He'd probably have to stretch the frame .
Really though with the new HOS he'd be able to log Off Duty in the truck but should never log sleeper berth
