I came off the road at the end of oct. Have been running local LTL into the city, and long island every day. I miss the road, I know I must be nuts. Sorry thats NY if some people don't know. I have drug test and physical set for tommorrow. It is flatbed, home every week end. The money is around the same. This local thing is boring to me, and I love to run. I did LTL yrs ago. I was just wondering if any body else felt this way. Thx Jim

Yeah man I have the same feelings. Been local city p+d for just over a month now. Before that regional tank work . Before that OTR. Local is boring and SOS everyday. I know what you mean about missing the road. The only thing keeping me local is being home every night , other than that it is boring me near to death!

I went from OTR to a regional, home every weekend and once or twice during the week job. Been there a month and a half, love the guys I work with, cant stand the job, I never ever thought I would hear myself say it, but I miss OTR and cant wait to get back out there

I know the feeling......I quit a 10 year hourly local gig in '96 with boo-coo benefits and paid holidays with 3weeks paid vacation to go back on the road.

Yea thanks for the replys. It's regional flatbed hard work. I have done it, so I know what I'm in for. Home friday for the wk end. Will still get the road, but not out for days or wks. Yea it's great being home, but only couple hours then to bed. Going to the 5 boros and long island every day sucks. I have a buddy from fla says he would deal with it. People say stuff like that, because they are not doing it every day. Been there done that. Just haven't done it for such a long time. Trailers are bigger and more and more traffic. Like I said money is the same, but forget. Allow Me you know the deal. I thought I was losing my mind, but the replys I know I am still kinda normal HAHA. Thx guys...
