Got to love plate modulation

Hey homeboy.... Haven't heard from you in a minute. I hope all is well and swell around your fine family and household.

Got a 16 transistor skullcracka for christmas.....

When getting it in. I have noticed that one of the transistors had been blown, and on the same combiner that ties the 2 2 transistor had the resistor replaced. Also noticed on the same 2 transistor section,,,, the mica caps had not been replaced on the output transformer.... Which is a bad oversight on whomever had replaced the transistor. These mica caps usually lose value when they get extremely hot which will have the amplifier out of balance even if you replace the transistor.

When I get a chance I will be going back through the amp. I have already contacted people in case if I need a new board for the it. But from what little inspection I have done. It yet does not appear that I will need it. But if I do....





These are the some hardest of the skullcrackas to find. Only a handful came out in the white cases.....

Like the 8 transistor amp,,,, I am going to repaint it. And since Jerry Jones would not do nothing to help out my long time team of the cowboys.... (He needed to fire Tony Romo.... Not fire Wade Phillips like he did last year....) I left the cowgirls........... Followed Phillips to the team I should have been pulling for being I have lived here for 10 years.....

Here is a little hint of the theme I will go on the amp..... (BTW I wonder how Jerry Jones fills about getting rid of Phillips now..... LOL)
