I am soooo sorry to hear about your trip so far! I lived down in Beeville for years as a child when my father was working at Chase Field Base long beofre they closed down. I like that area. We used to go to Corpus all the time for camping and fishing. I think thats why I used to feel at home kinda everytime I got a load going to Laredo lol....(after he got out we moved back to MI.... so im missed the south lol)

    Ben Gunn Thanks this.

yes, they smell like crude oil, lol

i'm hoping to score a job as a water or sand hauler right out of cdl school. pretty sure the local one has a good reputation. it's a 200 hour course which as far as i know is more than most schools. but what do i know ???

Gandy's is also hiring. but both of these are my backup jobs so stay away lol jk

need 1 more post to send a pm... don't mind me :biggrin_25519:

Has fracking operations slowed down ? Since thanksgiving, it has gotten slower and slower. We are so slow right now, I have only hauled 4 loads the last two weeks. This week, our company seems to be at a stand still with about 30 idle trucks. Is this going on at other companies hauling sand ?

I was told after New Year's, things would pick back up but this does not seem to be the case.
