Well when you compare it to a van job of course it's better, in the words of my trainer "Any ruhtard can pull a box." It must depend on location, here in the Northwest, I make more money hauling food grade than what some of the HazMat gig's are offering...But, even if it were a dollar or two more, would it be worth all the extra hassle?
I'm not gonna lie, I've thought about the gas hauling thing. But the whole starting over at another company thing, being the new guy all over again, I dunno. I really do like tankers and being part of the elite...And I'm happy where I'm at. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Maybe one day. -

i was in charleston, wv one time and a driver from there told me "there isn't but three carriers in the valley, chemical leaman, coastal tank lines and ford tank lines." -

i remember nuco 555. i had read in a magazine article, that it was the large increased insurance costs that suddenly put coastal out of business. apparently it happened quickly, so chemical leaman leased them for the first 9 months, until they could do the buyout.
how many drivers were in columbus?
wow, interesting; reality check for the owners son?
