Sure thing, I hope to see some more car hauler threads. If you want to kick things off, discussions about rates/salary always seem to draw a crowd. You've been at it for awhile, I bet you could give newer guys a rough idea of what to expect in this industry.

To tell the truth I am more a specialized vehicle transporter, think airport shuttle buses, ambulances, firetrucks, school buses, etc But we do haul cars back on occascion.

But be glad to help someone out if I can.

Nice to see this sub-forum show up here. Especially just after I registered on this site after creeping around in the shadows as a 'guest' for awhile. I'm now a car hauler by trade, and I hope this is going to be my retirement job. I've hauled lotsa loads in the past. I'm ex-military hauling heavy equipment. On civie street over the years I've hauled vans, refer's, dumps, chips + bark, flats, floats, over-sized, walking floors, etc etc. I've been both broker and company driver. Unionized and non-unionized ( and NO - not a scab - bin working in places where Unions don't exist ! So don't waste time 'going there' ! ) There's probably some car haulers that'll sign on here that recognize my 'name' from other places. So, take a sec and say HI. It's always good to let the world know we're around.

Gee, what's next? A bedbugger forum? (I used to be a yard guy at an auto hauler, that's why I checked out this thread.)
