I use CricKet in Houston. It isnt the greatest but for the price its worth all you can talk unlimited text and pics, the whole enchilada and I was wondering if the Roaming feature was any good on the road. It cuts off on me quite a bit,but I drive in and around refineries an that may have something to do with it, so thats what I gotta deal with instead of being nickled and dimed by Cingular/at&t..Anyway, if any of you gentlemen have any expierence with CricKet, please give me some input..thx.

I don't know anyone who uses "Cricket" anywhere.
I used ATT for years, but changed to Sprint about 6 years ago and I am fairly happy with them.

Cricket is great for local use. They are just really getting into the "long distance" thing now. I suspect it has to do with a lack of towers, that took them so long. It also makes for spotty coverage.

One of my friends has Sprint for his "on the road use" and a Cricket for his wife and kids. He used this for over 6 years, without any problems.

I really wish I had the money to invest in a system in our area.

You figure the cost of a Pay by the minute plan, as opposed to a Cricket Plan. You could make a killing, selling it to the locals.

I don't recommend them for OTR drivers though. Not near enough coverage.

Ditto, have cricket at home for years and years. Cant beat it; truly unlimited one price talk, text, long distance 48 state. And, you never have an overcharge. They are expanding to new cities every year. For those that haven't heard of it, you'll get their service eventually...

Otherwise I use Alltel on the road.

Cricket is great for Local use only . Roaming with it can get expensive. You can use it in any Cricket market but besides that not really . You can pay for roaming on it but coverage is very spotty at best .
