Lol, I've debated over and over on sharing my last 3 months exp. with everyone... But have held back due to how some people just like to find everything wrong with the driver and not the company ... My worst exp. with the company were with individuals , and the company did nothing about it .. Even an incident that took place when my mom passed away.. One or two people know the story .. The rest may not even care ... But yeah I'm still up in the air as to if I wanna share the stories or just ride off in the sunset .... Maybe I'll do both. Lol

Plus tell them you've already contacted a Trainer....LOL

Spent a wonderful couple of hours with my FM Brandon and my Training Co-ordinator Rhea today. It was nice to put faces with the voices and learn a little more about the changes that are coming.

One change is going to be in the Training Program. They will now do 120hrs behind the wheel and then run team with another student for about 8 weeks. This is to give the new drivers a little more confidence in doing their job, plus they will have someone right there in the truck with them to help with things.

I am currently sitting in Albany, GA, about 7 miles from my delivery. Got into this little Pilot and took one of three spots left...LOL......Never say the Lord doesn't answer prayers because I don't usually stay in truck stops and I always pray for a spot.

After I deliver then I have another 1K run to Laredo!!!!!

I guess my wife got in just in time.....

Musicgal you are right, the Lord does answer our prayers. I always pray for a spot when I am seconds away from going over and, pulling into a pilot!

When does this training change take place anyhow?

I am sure that if you have a teammate waiting on you you ewill get together after the 120 hours. I think this is great for newbie solos. I know it was awesome to bounce things off each other when we started out. (Anne still "bounces" stuff off me, but that is a different story)

The new program applies to anyone hired after Feb. 6th. I would think since you would be running team with your hubby that this new requirement would not apply to you. I have trained two ladies who went right on the truck with their hubby under the old program...........actually had one hubby follow us for 5+ hours from Sevierville, TN to Meridain, MS because they had to get on their truck...LOL

The reason given me for the students teaming is because there have been a LOT of students who were really concerned about going out on their own right away and there have been a lot of students quitting because it was too much for them. They are hoping that putting them together it will help with all of this.

    NoCoCraig Thanks this.
