Well I haven't posted in awhile, here's what's going on. Finally upgraded 1-13 after a crappy 150 hours of 'so-called training'. Hooked up with a teammate on the 17th (big mistake). Finally get rolling on the 19th cause the truck had to go in the shop cause the driver tech quit working. Got a load to be dropped off in detroit took us two hours to found on top of snowy, icy roads from ohio to michigan. Made it to the receiver at 10 pm and when we got there we found out they closed at 5 pm. So we(really I) drove around detroit following where this guy(my teammate) is telling me to go cause I'm new and I thought he knew what he was talking about. So we eventually in up on the Ambassador bridge on the way to Canada at 11pm . Thank God they were nice enough to let us make a turn around with out paying a toll eventhough they probably ran a background check on us, we didn't get back into the U.S. till after 1 am. It was a freaking nightmare! Took a load down to Laredo, Tx, then to Ellenwood, Ga. Now here's the kicker!

On the way to Ga this guy decides to tell me that his back is hurting from an accident that occured in a truck stop a few months back. So I begin to think, "ok he just needs meds or doc. Maybe we be down a couple of days but we'll be back rolling." Drop in Ga then this guy says to me after doing laundry and taking a shower, " we have a problem. My back hurts I can't drive." GREAT! I'm not believing this crap. When he told me this we were already under a load so I drive from Ellenwood to the Olive Branch terminal so dude can see a doc. This guy is on restrictions and meds and can't drive and I've been sitting here all day twiddling my thumbs. This guy said he can't sit long periods but he sat in front of the tv for hours. What a jerk! I think what he thought was that I was gonna be some easy female that he was gonna have at his disposal. YEA RIGHT! I don't even DO guys. So I guess be going solo. What a waste of time and so disappointing.

I think students need to man up I did, teaming them is suicide in my eyes the whole world is becoming weak even the military getting stress cards idk if I'm the only one who feels that way but there comes a time in ones life when they gotta man up hoorah!! Lol

OMG this is the BS that they are throwing out there now!!!!! Good thing most people know the real deal on this. USX makes more money with 2 people in one truck, plus this fixes the issue with them not having the trucks for all the people they pump thru orientation!!!!!

Note - No disrespect meant to you on your post Musical

Really???? No disrespect meant???? Since you just called her either a liar or a fool, I "respectfully" suggest you are a troll with a couple of weeks actual experience. A bad experience that has colored everything you think and say about this company.

USX does a lot of things wrong, any large company will. They do not have any loyalty to drivers and policy rules and is unbendable. They also have a profit motive (shame on them) but not everything they do has an evil motive behind it. I strongly suspect that the reason told to Anna is correct. Why? Because turnover is expensive. Maybe if you had a teammate with you on your first run they would have suggested you look in the trailer and check the load.

Craig - Open your eyes and ears, and re-read what I said. I did not attach Anna in any way, I only commented on the information that she posted.

2nd how do they make more money paying 2 drivers .48cpm split unstead of paying 1 driver .26cpm to do the same run.....?

They get double the loads done with 1 truck opposed to 2 pay 26 com x2 cost of trucks insurance etc x2 as opposed to 1 if they team I dont see the point of it thats what 150 hrs training is for if u need more just ask my Dm was very understandable with me showed me how to do paperwork even gave me his personal cell # that's what Usx needs more dm's or fm's w.e there called like that that was Chris from the dollar tree account a lot of ppl seem to hate him but he was there to help those who asked I personally don't think teaming students is very smart maybe super solo not straight teeaming

Spoke with recruiter today...yeah! About the training - 120hrs w/trainer and 8 weeks team at $.36 split. and Yes, I can do 8 weeks with hubby, but he will still get his normal pay for team, so they say.

So, due to my delay of getting myself to orientation earlier, I now get less pay for 8 weeks, but the good is 120 hrs instead of 150 hrs. Thats about 2.5 weeks!!!
