I've seen a lot of guys put it up on the shelf above the bunk then run an extension cord to the inverter. Brian the next time you roll through Lincoln & I'm home I will take you for a steak that will make you break out into tears. That stuff they call roast beef in most places is an insult to a perfectly good cow, if it sits in a steam table for hours it is garbage.

I don't eat a wide variety of things on the road, Usually Breakfast platters or an pasta dish.. with that being said, Kwik Trip T/S over on 80 at the 206 in Iowa and Truck Haven at Sioux City has had the Best breakfast I've had in the Midwest by far
-
What's wrong with Denny's?!?! The TA in Albert Lea has a mighty tasty breakfast too, I really had to fight off the urge to stop this morning on my way to Worthington.

Most Denny's are horrible.. the one in Carlisle, PA has the worst service by far!! Too inconstant

I'm gonna hold you to it Husker! Had another miss yesterday. Sirloin at the Oak Grove TA. Red meat is not supposed to be white inside!
I eat a lot of Denny's, but it does get old. And yes Carlisle is pretty mediocre. Had a standard bfast at that TA north of Mechanicsville weeks ago after living off McDonald's and Denny's breakfast for a while and wow what a treat! I felt like I was up at camp.
I'll have to keep Truck Haven in mind for the future. That's the one on the east side of 29 right? Brooklyn is good times for sure. I am anamored with the Kwik Star/Kwik Trip chain. It's the Midwestern equivelant of my hometown Sheetz! I always stop there for at least the cheesy bread sticks. No fee ATM too. I think the food at the Crystal Cafe in Dakota City is decent too, though the kitchen is slower than the molasses there this time of year.
Ugh, I need to start losing/stop gaining weight. But there's so much good food to eat. Who wants to eat a bunch of healthy crap?!10plus8 Thanks this. -
The only truckstop that has a "good" steak is Petro from the ones I've been to. I'm always tempted to try one at the Garden City Travel Plaza but I always seem to take a detour away from it when I peek over at the Mexican section of the menu! I always try to seek out Cracker Barrel's for breakfast now that's good grub. Too bad none of their locations offer truck parking or are close to a parking spot then I can hoof it over there except for Front Royal. Guess that's what I'm having for dinner considering I'll be here until late tomorrow afternoon when my 34 is up. If anyone is through the glamorous 7-11 tonight or tomorrow sometime stop by and say hi! Needless to say there isn't much here in town and they are not too friendly to trucks including bobtails. I usually just get a room but good gravy there is nothing less than $100 a night even during the week.
