Would anyone recommend or be against a couple leasing through prime? My soon to be husband and I are thinking about doing this after I am done with school and we are married in order to pay down debt.:yes2557:

If your in debt...leaseing a truck or WORSE leaseing a truck from PRIME will MULTIPLY your debt not get rid of it :biggrin_25512:

You both need to learn to drive, then BUY your own truck and lease ONTO someone or get your own authority.

Leases are rip offs, you will work your butt off, hold ALL the liablity and you wont make crap......

he means he hopes you take advice like mine, so that you dont get taken out back without any :ky: and then continue to post about your experiance day after day as you get broker and broker and broker, then devorce your new husband and take his last $0.05 and then after alamony his -$1000 a week paycheck from prime (note that dash means Negetive) since he'd be solo, and after your alamony comes out he'd make -$5000 a week....:yes2557:

So why dont ya'll just save your marrige, some time, our time, and some money and do it right, and not pretend to be a O/O by Leaseing a truck that you will never own....

There's only one way to get ahead and out of debt. That's to work hard! Plain and simple. There's no "magic" Prime pill that will make you more money. Get your CDL's, keep the left door shut and run miles. Miles equal revenue. Revenue is what will pay off your debt not more debt incurred through a "fleece" plan through Prime,

Why are there so many people leasing? I'm confused...I'm not saying that I'm not concerned about leasing but I would really like to know facts, like numbers and WHY it does not work or why it DOES work. He has met several people who say they are doing well...I think MAYBE they are doing it for a bonus or whatever so I don't like opinions. I like facts. I'm not dumb or trying to be anything I'm not. I'm certainly not trying to waste anyone's time. I'm Asking for some HELPFUL advice coupled with facts. And I took no offense to the Jerry springer comments lol. I actually despise drama and my husband I are are not typical newly married couple. Even if we went bankrupt I would not divorce him, I know we may take a risk but even if it all falls through I wont divorce him because its not about what I can gain from this. Its about being in it through thick or thin even if I get NOTHING from it.

On the line of facts...does anyone know how much an average load pays out?
How much tires cost? we heard about 1000 (how often do you need to replace them?)
How much insurance or a lease is? we heard 1200 a wk (are there any other expenses that we have not thought of, I'm sure there are)

he has all of this information from drivers at truck stops and prime. Frankly I don't trust the information. I am looking for some objective facts not emotional responses.

I understand its going to be VERY hard. I figured we would be better off leasing together and not having a rent or house payment or electric or anything else...we live on the truck and NOT so comfortable. I'm not nieve to the discomfort of the road. Just thinking it would be better then him on the truck and me in an apartment with a job that I have to pay for my car, insurance, utilities, gas, food and still only make about 30,000 with my masters degree...I want to work hard to get us out of debt so we can start our life right.

Because they're "sheep" that listen to a slick talking used car salesman that convinces them that they'll make MORE money and have MORE control than they would as a company driver.

All of this is BUNK and in fact you will be left with less money, have no benefits and will shoulder ALL the financial responsability associated with the truck.

Get your CDL's, get jobs as company drivers and two year in IF your records are clean you will have the chance to earn OVER $100K a year!
