I've driven more Internationals than anything. They're comfortable, you have a good turn radius with a SBFA, and they're pretty dang tough. With that said, if I was gonna go buy a truck tomorrow it'd be a Pete.

i can only speak for the freightliner which i have driven for the majority of the time, about 9.8 years and to me the internationals are not "comfy" and the volvos have too much plastic. I feel safer in the freightliner maybe because it is what I know and I have more experience in the learning department with Freightliners as in fixing to keep rolling as I am into my second year as an owner operator.

Best to drive, one that pays the bills. That said I can't say I drive a freightshaker,Cascadia daycab. American-Trucker you are right all i can say is they don't call them freightshakers for nothing. It is the loudest, coldest (in the winter) hottest (in the summer) cheapest made tractor I have ever been around. But it runs good knock on wood. I have only broke down once in over a year. Makes me o.k. money, and the biggest one of all it has a kickarse turning radius on it as I drive in Chicago this is a big deal for me. I see plenty of long noses in the city some guys can make those tight turns and some can't but they do look good and I wouldn't mind taking one out for a couple thousand miles. If it moves and makes tou money be happy with it, the time to et picky is when it is your money buying it.

i never drove a volvo but im driving a w900 with a hood and all the fancy stuff. u have to adjust to it but one thing i can say i do like is the mirrors. most truck have door mounted mirrors on them n driving one of them i think sucks. im not used to it first all which i thinks the main reason i don't like the dorr mounted mirrors. but like others said long as its reliable and gets you paid ill drive what ever they give me if its reliable. looks don't matter to me really long as it has power.

Well the good thing is that it doesnt matter what you are issued because you wont know the difference. Even if its a hard truck to drive. Probably better if it is, then you will have some good experience.
