I've run cruise with no issues.

this is good trick to make you to wait this 30sec no one want to drive without CC
i know one trucks with over 60 codes on first service all related to starting -
My dealer never told me anything about waiting to start when I first bought the truck. So I'd start it like any other truck of mine. I put on 450hrs like that and the cruise worked every time. No codes either.
However I did get told to wait 30 seconds after my truck started throwing codes and they were trying to implicate me instead of a Paccar fail. Never the less it wasn't my fault. -
Query here fellahs and fillies. Turns out my bunk heater wasn't installed properly. Gonna get that fixed up when I get back to the dealership in a couple of days but in the meantime, how seriously do I have to avoid idling for an hour here n there? I don't wanna glaze up the cylinders so I haven't been idling at all but it's tough when your truck is covered in snow! *chuckle*
