Get the endorsement, you will need it and it can't hurt. If it has wheels, I got the CDL to drive, ride, ect it. They can't make me drive a School Bus rotfl

    BigfootWRL Thanks this.

Yeah, it's not a problem, just the time is all. Could it be that different states have different rules? I don't see how since it's falls under federal for interstate. Oh well.

Did you run them for a company or hire yourself out?

I pulled them for Trailer Transit here in Indiana. They paid me $3.00 a mile to the truck and I was able to do 2 a week at 1,000 miles each.

On a side note, it was because the manufacturer was moving facilities so these were not not technically "trailers yet" and did not have VIN numbers. Heck half of them were just bare metal and tack welded together.

It took you longer to read this than to take the test to get the endorsement. I took mine in Texas and was amazed at how easy it is.

    BigfootWRL and SHC Thank this.

You might want to check on trailer transport tags .
These states will be happy to come the daylights out of you for not having plates on the trailer!

I'm assuming that was just the loaded miles and not the bob tailing?

Yeah, I did some reading on it from the online PDF file. Looks like a breeze.

The test is very simple, mostly common sense and I think the endorsement is only $10.

Just get the cottonpickin thing, for cryin out loud! Can't believe all the danged fuss over adding a letter to your license.
