When you happen upon one of those "Hallmark Cards" moments..... moonrise over a freshly snowed field, sunrise creeping down the Rockies, that redhead sunbathing out behind her house where only the truckers can see over the fence..... it will all be worth it.![]()

This is not true. Company training can be what you make of it.
To the OP truth is man there are 1,000 different scenarios that may or may not happen come up with a plan that you believe in and go in knowing that there is a good chance that absolutely nothing will go as you planned it. If that happens roll with the punches, take what pain you have to, and stick with it if you really believe it's worth it.Jpatt Thanks this. -
Appreciate all the replies guys, all of that will be information ill use and hopefully grow from. I talked to a recruiter several minutes ago and I gotta say she was awesome. It was Central Refrigerated, anyways, she explained everything to me, and told me to put in an app and she would take care of me. I know thats her job but she did seem sincere so hopefully she holds tight to her word. I've heard good things about Central Refrigerated and from doing reseach feel it would be a good company to go with.

Winter is the perfect time to go with a trainer, just because it is the slow time of the year.
The trainer has more time to actually train you, and the truck stops are less crowded so parking is a lot easier.
It is also much better to be with someone with experience driving in snow and ice when you are first starting out.
And during training you get the same paycheck whether you are running miles or not.
It may take a bit longer, which can be a strain if you are not a teaming type (like me) - but that is probably the only drawback. -
Makes Sense, thanks bud.

If you want the training....do it while you're young and single and don't have alot of expenses. The best decision you've made so far is avoiding CR England! Pretty much any other company out there is better than England.

Ah im trying, Central Refrigerated seems like a solid company so if they do accept me I think thats the route im gonna go. They gotta accept me first though. I just wanna give it a shot, I have nothing tying me down and could care less how long im out on the road, I don't need to go home. Nothing in Kentucky worth looking at these days lol.

im considering trucking too, my job now has led me to a dead end...does anyone know anything about central refridgerated?? ive herd good and bad. thanks
-
yea, central seems solid but every company has ups and downs...have you filled out ur application?
Jpatt Thanks this. -
Am I tripping or did you just now ask a question then answer it?
lol
If your asking me if I filled out my app, yes, I filled my app out today. I spoke with recruiter earlier and she said that they start training classes every monday and that they are accepting a large amount of students at the moment. She was really cool and pretty much guaranteed that I would be accepted. After doing tons of research I honestly feel that Central Refrigerated is one of the best options out there. Just do your research and im sure you'll think the same. Best of luck to you bud, hopefully we can meet up during training or something if you decide to go.
