Is this your truck and trailer???
We have heavy tare weights too... I usually pull a tri-axle aluminum walking floor trailer and have a day-cab.. My tare is 19,500kg... Some of our tare weights depending on truck and trailer combo can get up to just over 26,000kg...
The newer tractors weight a little bit more then our older ones... We have heavy frames...

Freightliner, Mack and a Pete.
Day cab and tri axle walking floor still puts you at 195. Wow.
I have that big bunk and a older 5 axle live bottom and am only a bit above you. -
Yeah my tare is 19,500 on a tri-axle aluminum trailer and a 2007 Freightliner FLD 120.. Detroit 60 with a 18 speed... Now another driver with same trailer but one of the 2010 FLD's I think his tare is like 22,300 or something along them lines. We have double frames and steel wheels on everything... 598litre fuel tanks and I think about 300L hydraulic tanks...
Some of out 2010 Freightliner with 5 axle aluminum trailers I think they are taring in at around 23,500-24,000... Not sure what the 2011 Coronados with the DD15 and 5 axles are weighting in at. -
That is with about 1/2 a tank of fuel and wetline. 60 series, 18 speed as well.
The 19,500 is using the truck in your sig pic? (gonna look closer as I didn't notice) -
Yes the 19,500 is using the same type of truck in the sig picture..
Pretty heavy eh... -
I think its funny when you guys talk about how strange it is for you to be pulling try axle trailers, thats all we have over here you never see a bogie axle trailer getting around because they aren't rated enough.
I run a low loader and on that with a tri axle trailer and a 2007 Freightliner Century Class day cab my gross weight is I'm aloud to travel at is 109,200lb the truck and trailer tare in at 48,500lb so basically the pay load it can put on is 66,000lb (had to use my iPhone to convert all that ha ha) are u guys similar to that? -
Now the U.S on the other hand.. Most states as far as I know have a cap of 80,000lbs so you do see a lot more tandem axle trailers in the U.S.. Again they run on the sames rules I believe when it comes to more weight they need more axles and permits... Michigan tho I think has a higher weight limit then 80,000lbs but they require more axles on there trailers then we do in Ontario... So where we might need 2 axles on trailer for our weight they may need 3 axles.. When I used to go to the US, in Michigan I used to see up to like 11 axles I think if I remember correctly.. I talked to a guy once and was surprised on the low weight he hauls for the amount of axles he had...
In Ontario you don't see any many tandem trailers.. I see a lot more tridem axle trailers... We do have a lot of 5-6 axles runing around as well.. Since our weight laws are changing here next year I am starting to see waste hauling companies with 7 axle trailers now too.. They cannot deploy the 7th axle here just yet. These waste haulers go to Michigan, so like I was saying before they require 7 axles and we need only 6 axles (until next year) so they deploy that 7th axle when they cross the Canadian to USA bridge. -
