Anyone know if there are any good upgrades for these? I don't ever here or see much about these, not as much as the DDEC III and IV anyway. What exactly is the difference between them anyway? Mine is in a 94 Pete and says it is rated for up to 430,so does that mean that's all it can ever be or is it capable of the 700+ I wish it had?

I had a 94 DDEC II that I updated to a DDEC III around 1997 or 98 . my memory says I had to add 2 sensors,ECM and a little wiring. then uprated to 500/1650. complete job at dealer was 1100.00( 1997 dollars ) hope this helps.

to get 700 hp you will need a tuned ecm,but you can make them pull good with a few parts ,we used to put in a ddec 4 500 hp cam ,move the fuel temp sensor to the return line ,a 4911 turbo, drill the r fitting to .104 thou.,and a four zero epa certification 450 program with 4795 inj.would net you around 450 wheel hp and good mileage..of course free flowing intake and exhaust,.
