Ok. Quick update. I passed the blood pressure screening with no problems at all. I had a 120/80 this morning which was just awesome! Urine test taken, Interview completed. Waiting until 3:00 pm Central time to go back down and be briefed on the CDL program. After that, study time for me and a few others for the CDL permit test tomorrow morning.
One thing: I do have to have a sleep study. It brings a big relief to me because I have felt for some time that I needed one - and now I get a chance to do it for a very cheap price.
Things are looking great now. I'll post tomorrow after I find out how well I did on the CDL permit test.

Ok....update from the permit test.
I passed all of them except for Combination. I missed combination twice by only one point. So, this means that I have to wait until tomorrow to retake. In the meanwhile, this means I have nothing else to do today except read over the Combination portion of the the manual. -
Hi, im going to be leaving for orientation this sunday, As far as the Cdl Permit test goes how does that work? Is it fail and your done or what? -
This is how the CDL permit situation is handled.
You begin to test for the CDL on Wednesday. You have two opportunities to pass on that day on each of the 3 sections of the test: General Knowledge, Airbrakes, and Combination.
If you do not pass a section in the two tries, you continue onto the other sections. Get whatever you can out of the way. Afterwards, if there are any test you did not pass, you have the opportunity to attempt to pass on Thursday (2 attempts) and Friday (2 attempts). If you do not pass on Friday - then I believe that is when they say that you must part ways with them.
Also, one other thing. Thursday and Friday - you still do your normal classes in the morning. You will go back to the DMV in the afternoon to complete it there. Wednesday is the only day you do the test on campus at Prime.
Once you get your permit, you will go to the simulation lab and complete your scenarios. You have 6 scenarios you have to complete before getting assigned to a trainer.busbee89 Thanks this. -
Good luck on the combo test WVU! Youll get it tomorrow.

Ok I know that there are other threads, but maybe I am reading this incorrectly. My husband is actually in the same training group as you WVUFan. Before he went we were under the impression that the training portion was going to be paid.. 500 week and then once he gets his own truck a minimum of 600 a week... Is this true... Or is it false information? Please let me know as soon as possible Thank you so much

And if we were told incorrect inforamtion... When does he start getting paid?? During training or after he gets his CDL which could be months?Last edited: Feb 2, 2012

All right....CDL permit update. Taking it at the actual DMV instead of on-site at Prime is so much easier. Passed it first time. Tonight, I have a sleep study which I have to do. Tomorrow, my trainer comes into town for some maintenance. He's also having satellite added to his truck.
Simulator - OH MY GOSH! I HAVEN'T DONE SHIFTING IN YEARS! It was so hard to remember doing the double shift. Thankfully, we're going to do a lot of practice this weekend.
