I was asked by my recruiter to get my permit before orientation at Springfield MO. Does this effect how many days I will be in orientation (shorten it by a day or so)?

You will most likely still be there the same amount of time just won't have to do the testing and dmv crap. A little more relaxing time for you. And a lot less stress.
Soponno Thanks this. -
so does the permit need to be from missouri or my home state?
-
Youll get it home state and when your in sprimo youll get a ride on the shuttle on i believe wednesday afternoon to swap it to an mo permit
-
You can use the one from your home state. I got mine in Mo, cause I live in the middle of nowhere.
-
No need to swap a permit you only redo your lic when you get one in springmo that way you dont pay taxes for 2states
-
It makes a few days shorter. Plus you don't have that added stress. As you only have a few tries to pass or they send you home. We had a lot of people fail their first time and were freaking out. If you got your permit, you also get to start the simulator earlier.
da1 Thanks this. -

If you're smart you'll contact both the FL and MO DMV's and ask if a FL permit is effective in MO . I know permits in many states only allow operating a vehicle in the issuing state when accompanied by a driver with a CDL issued in that state . Most permits are not transferrable.
