the problem I am having is the abs actually momentarily sets the brakes on the tractor all by itself when I am backing up, its just like you hit the brakes and release them real quick. Does not do it all the time, just once in a while and of course it never does it when it is at KW to get it fixed. Any ideas?

The whole ABS system works by releasing air to a 'braked' wheel ergo if the brakes are not applied this problem cannot be caused by the ABS system. Do you have a traction control system? Anti-roll? In the absence of an audible air leak or mechanical issue, these 2 are the more likely culprits.

I have an ASR which is supposed to stand for automatic slip reduction, but I thought that it worked thru the ABS...

ser number is 389638, it come from the factory with the ASR because I am the original owner and I have had this problem since factory warranty was up. If I could figure out how to unhook the ASR I would.............

I had the same problem but my brakes applied and wouldn't release at all! We found the problem being there is a ABS valve on each side of the rear suspension between the drives that supplies the air to the brake chambers and the electronic on the valve went bad and locked the brake! you could possible have 1 of those going bad! the cost of that valve is around 300.00 and they are not hard to change!
