Ah gas you must have missed that one
I'm not meaning to make it sound like I am assigning blame to anyone else but myself. That excerpt should underscore that point. My apologies if it sounds other than that.
My point is I know I screwed up. Yes, I should have reported that incident ASAP instead of moronically thinking I could slide by with it. I failed to use my better judgement and it is as simple as that. Hard lesson learned for #### sure.
I will find a job somewhere. As a soldier I was taught to never quit and never accept defeat. I may have been out just over three years now but that still rings true for me today and will continue until my demise. I appreciate all the comments everyone good and bad. Yall be safe out there and take care of others as much as you do yourselves.
How do I fix a series of goofs?

My only advice to you is NEVER SIGN ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!
You should have just said "I'm not signing that, thanks for the job, have a good day" and walked out the front doors.
If youhad not signed that statement then you could fight this and prospective employers would hear your case. Since you signed it you are now guilty of it and stuck with that strike against you for about 7 years.
With your lack of experience it will be hard to get a job, as the mega carriers were about your only option. But now with this, they won't touch you. best bet is to try to find a small 3-4 truck company and give it a go. Pay will not be very good, but it will be a jobFilthyMcNasty Thanks this. -
Got to be better than previous employer. All year I made about 11k net due to breakdowns, slow freight ETC ETC. Was not a good year for me.

OUCH!!!!!!!! the 17yr old at Burger King made more than you
Wargames Thanks this. -
YEP! Sad ain't it?
List of those who denied me:
Prime
Celedon
CRST
Marten
JCT
Arnold
Calark
Crete
The lady at Arnold was very gracious to give me some suggestions on where to look. Even suggested expiditorsintenation.com | That's the address she gave me to look for smaller fleets but it has nothing pertaining to truck driving employment. I realize my best bet is to get a smaller carrier to take a chance on me and go with them for a year or two, keep my nose clean, and try to climb the ladder again. Anyone know of any decent places I can look for smaller companies?
On a side note, I have found people on here through research who had major rear end accidents and rollovers. I would expect that a failure to report a minor accident (which happened on private property and not DOT recordable) would not be as bad as that. Those guys found employment. Wonder why it seems harder for me? Hmmmm -
The small local fleets are the ONLY way to go.
I drive for a 12 truck company and only 2 drivers out of our local warehouse.
Good pay, assigned 2011 trucks and trailers. No tracking, paper logs and we idle anytime we want. They do not use DAC either!
Keep looking, something will turn up!Wargames and FilthyMcNasty Thank this. -
Just be honest with your next employer if they should ask. It sounds like you worked for one of those companies that are driver mills and I would think they would understand. But for now keep your head down and your record clean. It will get better.
FilthyMcNasty Thanks this. -
You hit the nail right on the head. Wtf was I thinking?
