Your best 5th wheel hitch would be the B&W companion hitch http://www.turnoverball.com/products/rvhitch although many hotshotters prefer to just use a gooseneck for higher capacity and many trailers have a gooseneck hitch .
In your area you can make plenty of money staying under 26,000 lbs.
I know a hotshotter that went from a 1 ton to a Chevy 4500 because he thought he was missing out on too many loads being under 26,000 lbs.
He gave his son the 1 ton and the next year the 1 ton profited more than the 4500 .

    Trytic Thanks this.

I was gonna get a 3500 dodge, I looked up those hitches & that's exactly what I want. I was gonna get a stakebed 3500 so that turnover hitch would b great for when trailer is not needed! U know anything bout the fuel tax issue, I was gonna get my authority but read why people go under 26,000 lbs, to avoid fuel tax!! Any info on this??
