My ride with Millis Transport

Week 2 started this morning, PTI instruction then to the range. A couple of backing skills, practiced all day. Warmed up nice this afternoon, so it was all good. More backing challenges tomorrow after I do the PTI.

Week 2, Day 2, I did the PTI this morning, did well on the vehicle exterior but when I climbed up in the cab I blew a head gasket and forgot everything but the leakdown test. No big deal, I just couldn't think about the dash at all. We added a couple of backing manuvers and practiced all 4 the rest of the day. Going well and tomorrow is hump day and chicken day. Halfway done with training! In the yard anyway, lol

 

Tested out in the yard doing the backing manuvers. Leaving early on a rode trip, everyone in Ohio, stay off the streets! lol Should go well, everyone seems to know what their doing. Be Safe!

 

Well it's been a couple days since last post, alot has happened..... Yesterday we took off out the gate to get some rode experience in. Headed north out of Hamilton for awhile, I drove up that was for about 70 miles, everyone was getting their feet wet until we headed East toward Indy on I-70. About the 122MM we had a little
breakdown along side the big road for about 5 hours, missed lunch, blocked traffic while we got things dropped and swapped the trailer over to another tractor and the truck got towed into Anderson, IN. The student van came to pick us up off the highway and so we called it a day once we got back. Bill talked up his Freightliners and this one blew a hole in the side of the air compressor, so we were done. Be Safe!
