Passengers

I have seen it, two drivers, wife and dogs.
Probably be up to the other driver, I wouldn't want it my self.

 

Many/Most allow only allow 2 people in the truck... while others will allow the entire family to come along.

What you run into though, restraint laws. You can, and will be charged for every occupant that isn't wearing a seatbelt.

My most recent sighting, a family of 5 in a MVT truck.... haven't figured out the sleeping arrangements on that one yet. 2 adults, 2 children above the age of 10, the other about 4 years old.

 

Not at all, all modern trucks have restraints in the bunk area. And only a total idiot would not use them.

While they may not keep you from dying in a major accident. They most certianlly will keep you from being tossed in the floor during a hard brake.

 

That's not a good idea at all IMHO.

You're just asking for a divorce and/or loss of a friend. Either way you lose. While there is storage space. It hardly covers what ONE woman can bring along. Been there done that, it took a full size pick-up to cart all of my wifes stuff home once she come off the truck. Add 2 men to the mix...you're done.

The restraints in the bunk area, are webbing that is meant to reduce the movement of a sleeping passanger. They are not solidly strapped in, as with a seat belt. Although some work that way, only in the horizontal position.

Running team, and bringing your wife. Only adds to your problems. Namely, hygiene and driving time. Is your wife willing to take a pi$$ on the side of a busy interstate? Or within the city limits of a town while stuck in traffic?

Will she require that you park close to the truckstop, when parked? For her convience.

Keeping up with your partner can be a burden sometimes... IE stepped out of the truck while you were inside, then you drove off and left him. Now add another person to this....you see what can happen.

If you really want to bring your wife. You should seriously consider solo. As there is little "personal" space or "privacy" within a truck.
