Okay, here is a part of the "bad" I know about Dowdy....Have you ever SEEN those showers??? Whatever cleaning crew is being paid to "clean" that drivers' lounge is getting paid to do ...well...NOTHING!
Last time we were at the yard, we were GOING to shower there...until we saw the shower stalls....there was so much mildew and mold in there that it's possible there is a mushroom colony ensconced in there! YUCK!!!

When hubby and I were at the NLR terminal of Maverick, we were told by a Driver Instructor there that the new orientation class coming into Maverick today was larger than normal because of all the people coming from Ronnie Dowdy because Ronnie Dowdy had closed down.

 

Wonder what happened to the lease purchase drivers there. I remember there was more than a few lease purchase drivers who were within. A few short weeks of having their trucks paid off only to have the banks repo them because arrow was not mAKING the payments on the trucks, even though payments were deducted from LP driver settlements....

 

rollin coal, I don't know what happened to RONNIE'S LP's....I only know what has happened to RICHIE'S LP's.
My husband is one. Richie has taken his trucks and LP's, to another company, and leasing them on to haul.
My husband is one of the few, who still have a truck and job. Richie has done what he said he would do.

Say what you might, people, about RDI.....but Richie will look you in the eye, and do what he says he will do, no matter what.

P.S. At this point, YES, I am a big Richie Dowdy cheerleader.

Yes Ronnie and his are working for Maverick now. What was Steve Williams thinking? Ronnie dowdy is a bunch of illegal steering wheel holding idiots. I heard only about 4 of his drivers made it through orientation.

 

I worked for them for a year and a half...plenty of miles...no problem with home time...my DM was the best i ever had...but they downsize the company...they call all drivers to Batesville and then they told about their plans...Every driver plenty of stuff on the trucks...Even matures ladies had to deal with the way to get home...They call me to come back to drive for them...Had to say thank you but no thank you

 

I have to agree with everyone on this one..Especially MartyMcfly...I worked for them back in the day.. What a bunch of rip offs... Can't believe he is still in business..
