well the nights are enjoyable now... but that itty bitty vent window just aint enough. m international got 2 sliding windows up top but it still just aint enough.
my first driver trainer i had had screens that fit right in the windows, you roll up the windows and viola, more air flow.
one problem. i cant find these suns a ... things. anywhere!! im sure they are online but that dont help me out here.
so what to do what to do. found out what to do. and it would be a crime if i didnt share it here.
parked in the lot of a walmart. bought 20 feet of velcrow, you dont need that much but a lil extra doesnt hurt. velcrow/'hooks n loops'
went to lowes across the street and bought a roll of fiberglass screen, charcoal black.
i put the 1 inch strip of velcrow, the fluffy side, around the window frame of the door on the inside. on both driver and passenger side. applied the hooks/graby side of the velcrow to the soft side, stuck the screen in there so that the velcrow adhesive stuck to the screen, using a razor/box cutter i cut the screens to the size and shape i needed. now i have both driver and passenger side window screens in that are easily removeable and replacable for the next night of sleeping.
now i can sleep or just plain relax with the windows down.. and avoid the annoing flys or bees or mosquitos buggin the crap out of me while i try to relax without having to idle the truck for some fresh air.
just thought id pass this advice along to those looking for fresh air on these comfortable nights and cant seem to find those window screens.
by the way dunno how much the actual screens cost, but my set up cost $26. $20 for the velcrow, and $6 for the roll of screen.
so it might even be cheaper my way.

You got ripped dude !!! I got 25 feet of 2 inch velcro from Wal Mart for $6.00
-
well thats where i was at.. was walmart in auburn new york. it was 19.97 for 20 feet of velcrow. i looked up and down the entire velcrow section.. i needed 20 feet, and they only had 2 rolls. one was 25 feet for 30 bucks and the other was 20. i only needed 20 so i got 20. mabe this walmart sucks... but the lowes across the street had the same brand and product of velcrow for the same price. so i dunno.
just to add on. you may have to staple or sew the screen to the velcrow strip to ensure it wont come apart from one another. thats what i plan on doing when i make it home this saturday -
I'll have to remember that.... NEVER shop at that Wal Mart !!!

meh i dunno everything else seemed reasonable.
back on topic. i did go back and staple the screen to the velcrow the entire border so that its properly secured on there. so now it works perfect. better then i expected to be honest.
