    not at all true, they take the companies side ALL of the time...what they will do is add a statement to the report stating your side of the story.

    to get something REMOVED you need proof and prly a lawyer,and maybe not even then.

    ive been with three different companies,id be willing to be money that most any otr company you go to of significant size is going to have a fairly large percentage of people that have an unfavorable opinion of the company and are willing to tell you about it..

    the industry standard is at least 100% turnover yearly...mostly from company to company,but still..

    Sometimes people do give bad reviews about companies for noreason. Sometimes companies invite the bad reviews. By treating people badly. In a case. Celadon!!!! Here how it is exactly! If you can go to Canada without a problem. Your looking at a great living. By great from what I was shown by the ones who do go to Canada. An average take home of $1200 weekly. If you can't go to Canada. Average take home of $350 maybe $450 weekly. Plus if you can go to Canada. Celadon will give you a new truck every 6 to 8 months. If you can't got to Canada. You end up with what ever broke down drivers left overs of a truck. And a replacement truck every 3 years or when they feel like getting to you.

    I think previous jobs sometimes show up on credit reports/background checks? I would hate to see someone get hired then have the company find out they weren't being truthful... just sayin'...

    It's been awhile since I posted, and by what I'm reading here and on other threads from GM drivers, Celadon is conducting business as normal. I got called back home to Florida by my Doctor just before New Year's, and have been here ever since. Had to wait in Atlanta over New Years, but did eventually get home. No freight down this way is what they tried to tell me. Anyhow, a stay in the hospital, more tests than I knew existed (along with a heart cath) and I'm still waiting to get out on the road again. Had to jump thru their hoops for a week just to get cleared by "Medical" and Safety. It's been 3 days since I cleared all their obstacles. My DM is great, but he took Friday off to go downtown and have fun at the SuperBowl parties, leaving me with someone else. Yeah, ####### stepchild syndrome again. Jamie knows when I'm at home, I'm not sitting in the truck waiting. I'm sitting in my recliner resting and he does me the courtesy of calling me when he sends me a load. The 20-something college student (who's PO'd that she has to work dayshift) said she was "too busy" to call me. She never looked to see that I was at home, either. She had no idea I was coming off a medical leave. Basically, at Celadon when you get a fill-in DM, you are not going anywhere unless you know them. I've met alot of the GM drivers that got "bought" with their company, and some will like it here, some won't. Just give it some time and learn the company, 90 days at least. Then, make your own decision. Your situation is unique to you, and probably can't be compared to anyone else's. I post just what happens to me here, so maybe others can catch on before something goes haywire with their situation. But, after 7 months here, if I didn't need the medical insurance, I think I'd be going someplace else. The recruiter's statement that they have "tons of freight going to Florida as well as coming back out" was nothing more than recruiting speak for, "I have no idea, you may never get home." That's turning out to be more true than it first seemed. Ah, too long winded. Time to go do something to pass the time.

    Oh they may have plenty of freight going into FL but not coming out.
    Last couple times I've come off home time I've been sent up to GA for a load. It's kinda sad because one of our customers is Melitta in Clearwater FL. It's coffee filters. Super-light load! If they can't get a Celadon driver to pick it up they end up calling JB Hunt. I told them I'd be more than happy to go there when I come off home time as they're good runs, too, but no. I've only been there once.

    @Digger 423,

    I wanted to thank-you for your response to this thread, Celedon bought out Warrior Xpress out of Charles City Va, a several years back, and my husband was offered a position with them, we choose not to accept after hearing, how they didn't come to far into Florida. We realized very quickly that the trucking industry had changed alot while he was at Warrior, there wasn't as many companies with great home time, So we did opt to go with more money, and a chance for a good retirement. We have often wondered, did we make a mistake? As I'm sure you, and others understand, being married to a professional Truck Driver, it's not all about the money.
    So thanks again!

    Its not celadon that did that to you.... Its 10 companies in 15 years. Its YOU that did that to you. "His employment pounds but thats okay. Oh.... Oh wait, holdistory took 3 hours to print but thats okay. Oh....wait hold the phone. Celadon fired him. #### ebbs right when I thought we found our next star driver..."

    We DO have the freedom to work for any and as many companies. Unfortunately they have they freedom to choose who does or doesn't work for them for any reason they deere fit as they are in america too

    Not true. I refuse to go to canada and I make decent money here. You can't just pick and choose and you have to keep that door closed and wheels turning.... Like any company I've been with for 19 years... Btw thats 4 all total
