I am starting the Wal-Mart dedicated in two weeks out of Olney, IL. I have been told the trailers are preloaded, all no touch, making 2-3 stops per load.

Hey DoubleR, off topic here but I was offered a job with AIM about a month ago for their night run out of Washington, delivering med. supplies to Giant Eagle in western PA and n.e. Ohio but decided against it since I'm not too familiar with the area, and that lack of familiarness only gets worse once the sun goes down. The lady from AIM was prompt and quick with a response though to my app., very friendly as well.

PM me and I will tell you why and it is not AIM that is the problem

Hey double R, know anything about Talon logistics? I see alot of their trucks around and I know they haul for Giant Eagle.

JKD1118 I was on a dedicated Wal-Mart account many years ago with the great pumpkin, sometimes you had to hustle to get all your stops done & every once in awhile they would add a back haul for good measure. Only thing I can advise is dont be late don't know how much has changed since I drove for them, but wal-mart can be a little anal at times Good Luck be safe

I could be wrong, but something tells me if they have a dedicated run available for a newbie to slide right into chances are that there is a reason no one wants it. Just a thought. Again I could be wrong.
Treefork Thanks this. -
JKD. I have a friend who just left that wintersville gig after 18 mos. Just be prepared to work a full 70 hrs. Then 34 hrs off and start again. Biggest complaint she had was the careless loading from DC. ie 2 litre soda on top of yogurt. Makes a big mess. PM if you want more details and I can shoot questions to her if it will help.

I've read a lot of posts from people who were promised something pre-hire that never materialized once they made the jump. I'd be curious to see if that happens here as well.
I also wonder if the recruiter would be willing to put in writing that you are guaranteed to be assigned that account after successfully completing orientation. -
Most companies pay the bonus in installments over time.
Montgomery Thanks this.
