Well i got pre plans for 2400 miles in the next 6 days, cant complain about that. Fingers crossed that this coming paycheck is right.

 

Waiting here in Effingham, got a pick up in the am, going to Aurora CO then they actually have me planned on a load out of Greeley to LaPorte Texas!

Been awhile since I've been preplanned out that far!

 

Yeeeeppp! Dedicated deal done,guess they couldn't stand drivers being home everyday. Will update later on the sitrep,decisions decisions....

 

I wish I lived in greeley, they just sent a message about needing a local driver in Greeley!

 

I don't,too dam cold in collyrodoo-florida is waaaay better in spring an summer anyway,bikefest is just around the corner. Got your mardi gras beads ready? LOL

 

And then.... drive about 35 miles to the other side of SLC and my phone starts up. Don't know the number so I don't pick up. It rings again, same number, and again, and again... Finally answer and guess who? Yep, Americold. Where you at? Other side of SLC. The guy literally says "sht, sht, SHT!" We need you to come back, we forgot to load a pallet! So I whip a UE on I-15 and get back there. Should have been able to make it to PHX but only got to Flagstaff. First time here at the Little America. Always seem to drive by but never stop in. Quite nice. Had a load out of PHX for Denver tomorrow night but it cancelled. Even had a PP for after hometime on Tues which is strange to have one so far out too.

anyways ,,,,been doing texas chicken dance past week .it's been good ....
talked to some drivers who had quit from KLLM to stay on the chicken ride they'd love and gotten used to in texas,la,ar...areas.....
talked to some drivers at the love's in texas ,,the one's working 14 hrs a day ,6 days a week ..and even get asked to work their 1 day off !!the oil field workers....dirty hard work...don't wash your clothes in a texas laundry mat might come out smelling like a roughneck when you wear them clothes again!!!!

Quick question for JBS drivers...

I read a few pages of this thread and overall, this seems like a good company. Can you guys give me some negatives. Only thing I noticed was home time request was an issuse but for me, that's not a problem as I like staying out 3-6 weeks at a time usually. Other question, what's the average starting pay with one year?
