I'm wondering what kind of Bluetooth headsets do y'all use when driving. I'm looking to get one but with so many on the market knowing which one to choose is a chore. Just want to get your professional opinions thank you

I use a little cobra earpiece. It was $50.

I don't talk on the phone while driving though

I have an old little pink motorola one. It's probably 6 years old. I like it but it flops around my ear funny (can't really explain it that well) so I have to hold it sometimes to be able to hear clearly. My co-driver has one of the blue parrot ones that fit over your head. I didn't really like those before but after using it a few times I can tell a huge difference. It fits good, the sound clarity is great, ant the people on the other end can hear you and not the engine noise.
I know they are pricey but I think they are worth it, well maybe about 75% of the cost is. LOL It does come in handy when you have to call a customer on the way or your dispatcher to make sure he knows you're actually working. Hahaha
Let us know what you choose and how it works.

On the rare occasion I actually use one I have a Jawbone Icon with a custom Avery Sound fitted ear gel. The earpiece is around $70 alone but since it's molded to your ear you can't tell it's there and you can actually hear in a noisy environment. Oh and since both are small you don't look like an air traffic controller.

I second the blue parrot I had a few different Bluetooth pieces but the Blue parrot is the best. As far as price do not buy at a truckstop search the Internet you will Find it way cheaper. I think RHM would get one if they had it in pink. It's nice to be able to hear and be heard when trying to talk on the phone and that's exactly what the blue parrot does and it works on both my phone and my company phone. Although I don't wear it in the truckstop. But if you do you will look way cooler with it.

Should try to go to the company themselves and ask. They are pretty good about respondinng, but good luck.

On another note I too have a Blueparrot and have had it for 3 years now. The only thing Ive had to do to it was to replace the battery ad that costed me 15 bucks (including S&H). It works great and it will drown out alot of that background noise that some other spndy ones wont. Keep in mind that sometimes the truck is louder than a car inside the cab. Just my experience.

The Blue Parrot is a good piece. I bought it online for $80.00 with a $10.00 mail in rebate. Good warranty too......the first one died after 9 months, I sent it back they replaced it for free, even refunded my shipping costs!

The cats that walk around the T/S or local Wally World with the Parrot proudly hanging on their neck......should be choked to death with it!

Red Hot Mess and jds8710 Thank this.

I use the Bose Bluetooth. It's pricier than any of the rest, but I wouldn't go with anything else. EVERYONE says it sounds better when talking on it than it does without using a bluetooth. I am on my second one. At 11 months I basically wore out the first one. Speaker got weak. Pairing was difficult. I called them up, they had me mail it back to them and they sent me a BRAND NEW bluetooth with a new one year warranty at no cost.

For some reason, in other threads nobody believed me as to the sound quality from such a small piece. And the cheapos on here can't see paying $150 for an earpiece, but will buy 5 $50 ones in a year. Bose makes a superior product and you pay a little more for that. But, you definitely get what you pay for.
