True,
I was just thinking of not having to set up the dish everytime I stop, positioniong the truck so that the dish can face south, etc. Also if there happened to be something on, that was only on when I had to be driving, I could record it while I was driving.

Do you need a monthly subscription with this?
-
Save the money on the TV, converter box, etc. Subscribe to Netflix streaming and HuluPlus TV. Virtually anything and everything you'd want to watch available at your fingertips...most without commercials.
-
Yes. It's the same as in a home satellite system. You purchase a programming package from Direct TV or Dish Network or Bell ExpressVu.

Hulu sucks! I have a slingbox and unlimited data on my phone.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I love my Netflix.
But there is a bandwidth availability and (sometimes cost) issue that makes internet-driven entertainment prohibitive or at least restrictive in many cases. -
Then there's that little probelm of taking 2 hours to watch a 1/2 hour program. (re-buffering)
I'd rather stand on the passenger step during an all-out freezing rain-storm in my underwear and socks to align a satellite dish than screw with "internet TV" while on the road. -
Now there is a visual I never want to see.

Hey, 1970 called...they want their rabbit ears back! Not sure you're aware, but we've invented 4G wireless internet....it's the best thing since Asteroids!
