    Yep. I read them too.

Many, if I had to take an educated guess. And, they are more than most likely driving down the interstates right now with no time to give feedback..

The hotel they use in Springfield sounds like a real vacation spot. It's even rated #50 out of 50 of all the hotels in Springfield. Yay.:biggrin_255:

Well, Made it to the hotel around 4:30 this afternoon, so far, not too bad. Not nearly as bad as the reviews made it out to be. Now to see what tomorrow brings.

Day one went fairly smooth. Started at 7am with some introductions, then the dreaded paperwork. The guys with prehires had double the paperwork. There are a few guys here on a work rehab program that are working on finding a trucking company to call home.

Our classroom instructor, IMO, is really laid back, easy to listen to and explains things well. All in all, I'm enjoying the experience so far.

Got my physical out of the way. I was kinda worried about my b.p. Been running a little high the last week or so(probably stress over leaving the wife and kids and getting the bills paid while I'm gone)
Took my bp frst thing and it was 145/something so we did the rest of the physical then I had the chance to chill out for a few minutes and got it down to 124/85...Booyah

I'll try to keep my adventures posted.

Looks like I am starting in Springfield either next Monday or the Monday after. I will try to put my honest opinion in as well. I threw another thread up that I am going to update on. I have read decent things about the Springfield classes. Here is to good times.

I have seen the hotel they use. I'm sure it isn't as bad as some people think. I've been in worse in this industry believe me. lol

Ok yesterday was day two and all day was spent going over general knowledge, air brakes, combination and hazmat. We also took practice tests (open and closed book) and went over every question that anybody missed or had questions over.

Today was CDL permit tests and to the DMV for actual permits. Testing was done at PRIME's school facility. There were Prime students testing alongside of us. It seemed like the Prime students were really struggling on the tests. Most of our guys breezed through without having to retake many tests. I passed all the tests, ACED my hazmat, and even got my doubles/triples and tanker endorsements...passed all my tests the first time. After testing we headed to the DMV for our permits. When all that was finished it was back to the classroom for a RR x-ing presentation.

In case I dont make it back on tomorrow...we are going to start log books, map reading and trip planning.

I really think this is a great school! The instructors are really good people and are eager to help as much as possible. I didn't get to stay the whole time but I will not let that stop me from what I am wanting to accomplish.
