Based on guys I know on 11 western, you would be fortunate if you reached the 100k mark for the year.
That would include slow times, days off, breakdowns, layover, etc.

well, spent most of the day here at Jubits truck stop in Oregon, picking up a load for aurora, CO tomorrow morning ^.^
Think the weather isn't going to be very cooperative so my last run might be a bit rough lol but I can't wait to get back home and test! (and hopefully have the bottom bunk on my next run haha)
nite all -
I fixed it for you.
-
lol
you know what I mean! altho I do have to say being out here with the trainer isn't as bad as I thought it would be. when i first looked into driving i was like "unless its someone I know I dont see how people do teams", you get used to the other person being there, of course with a trainer is different (I would think) and they are up when you are, but now I think when I get into my own truck It might be weird not having that other person there. -
Blue is your trainer and you going to Denver Monday? If he is going on a 34 hour break, I think I will be with him Wednesday.. I hope to have as good of a time out as you seem to have had...
-
yes, thats him. we have a 1am drop monday morning, we will actually be at the denver yard tomorrow early, then get at least an 8 hr break in to stop our clock so we can get to king stupids at 1 (tho we have to be there early, cause we have to find out if we have to write a comcheck for a lumper and our computers go down at midnight or something?) monday he is planning on just going over some stuff in the yard with me and chaining since we haven't had to do it yet. I've done it before at school and in orientation (but that wheel wasn't attached to a truck lol)
it seems the closer we get to denver, the more i'm starting to mess up again, missing gears, grinding like crazy, I don't know whats going on. for a few days there I wasn't missing anything and now yesterday and today its like everything just flew out of my head and I've never been in a truck before -
Thats not really good with a student on board,id be mad to have those solo just got a run from orgeon to connecticut I'm a trainer but no student on board that's a 2600 mile run
-
see thats what I want, long runs. how long do they give you on a run like that? I hope I dont have to come back out west when I go solo ( I mean not right away lol, I've spent the last 3 weeks in OR, CA, WA so I want to visit the other side)
-
I got 7 days to do it I only have 1800 miles left don't deliver til thursday but I'm gonna do a 34 in illinois and be with my fiance for v day or I would of delivered it early if possible, but yea these are the runs I live for like u I'm from illinois but live in az but hate being on the west coast I LOVE 48ive been doing it since day one solo 11 western is boring
-
yeah I'm from NY originally, live in denver now but theres nothing holding me there except there not being a terminal on the east coast lol. the short runs out here, and the time waiting adds up, or thats how it seems anyway. one more day! and back home anyway lol I still have to test >.<
