I drove us up to the receiving point area. My trainer took over from there. They had us backing into a very difficult place. We're now just a little ways up on 81 for our 10 and we're doing a small run between Mannassas and Richmond. Not even 300 miles really. High wind warnings out on 81 tonight and going into tomorrow. and if you are going southbound toward the Tennessee area - outside of Christiansburg is that construction work. Held a lot of people up for several hours.
This weekend coming up, my trainer is going to Oklahoma to visit his family for 3 days. I'll be chilling at the hotel when we get there while he sees his family. Afterwards, we're going to try and route through Nashville so I can see my wife for at least a few hours. We're expecting to return to Springfield the first week in March to do my CDL exam. -
Sitting in SPRIMO again. Got a new clutch safety switch for the truck and new glow plugs for the APU. New trainee did not work out, big personality clash. Get a new one next week maybe. Headed TO Hutchinson KS in the morning. Fixing brats on the truck right now

Got past Wyoming and it's westerly 20mph headwinds. Chewed my weekly MPG down to 7.10. Stopped in SLC and got new tires on the trailer, and by the time I was done at 0645 there were 3 people in line for the wash. Dirty truck continues toward sparks with a modest tailwind, upping my MPG to 7.45 for the day. See how long that lasts.
Mill City NV bunking down at the TA on I80. 6AM delivery at WMDC in Sparks NV, so get up at 0100 and drive the rest to get there on time.

Hey U2, I hear they talk on the phone (hands free of course) like two old women

I'm not sure I want to know what they are doing with their hands.

It's my turn to cross Wyoming tommorow. Not a good sign as I was coming West and the Eastbound trucks "rooster spray" on the trailer walls from the salt and sand mix was getting darker, and icier the closer I got.
No tell tale color highlights on the WY I-80 text online report. We'll see when I check again in about 8 hours.
Boss knows if the roads open I'll roll... If chains, it depends. If its closed I've got no choice but to park.
Btw. After I get to the 90. Boss has about 8 days to get me 3k miles back to Florida for hometime. Each new year has had a better start than the previous since I started back in 08. -
Ontario, CA at Farmer Boys. Just had the legendary 1/2 pound Farmers Burger with fries and a large chocolate shake. 3090 calories but who's counting. Deliver down the street (Kraft) at 0600 then its south to El Centro for a load going to Auburn, IN.
