Driving for a big outfit with a QC, trip planner, dispatcher, designated route, etc will only get you to "steering wheel holder" IMHO. You will never learn what you need to learn to prepare for being a good O/O right out of the box...
You are still a noob... I would get more seat time with your present outfit then find a smaller carrier who can teach you how this business really operates. After a while you can think about buying a truck... hopefully an older one that you can pay cash for (or have a small mortgage).
