Im building a nice little communications rig for offroading and want some advice / suggestions..
Currently I have a 92 Camoflage Bronco with a 29ltd Army Strong (waiting on an RFX-75) and a 102" hustler whip mounted on a barjan mirror mount. What should I add or do to increase power?

I had a Cobra 29 with a RFX 75. It was loud, but it was also stressing the radio big time. If I keyed up for more than a couple of seconds, the radio would almost get too hot to touch. It would also lose carrier strength very quickly. Many old timer cb guys told me that it was too much for the Cobra to handle, and that it would fry it in short order...so I ended up buying a Mirage MX-36HP. I couldn't be happier.
