We just got a new deep drop trailer, and I was wondering with over height permits, how tall we can go before we need pole cars.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Each state is different. Wideload shipping has alot of the states reg's listed.
-
This ^^^ A lot depends on what side of the Mississippi you are on. Most states west of the MS have legal Heights of 14'. But the variables are to wide too list. Some states it's 14' 6" before you need a pole car some states it's 14' 1".
So again it all depends on what states you are planning on running in. -
There are programs out there that will route you and provide what states you'll need special escorts, permits, etc. etc. in. Worth the money if you plan on doing regular overdimensional moves.
-
Can you name a few of them for me??? I'd be very interested in getting one.

Talk to the guys at Heavy Haul SHC. I don't actually know the name of the program.

What is heavy haul SHC?

SHC is my screen name, and he was telling me to call our heavy haul division here at Landstar.
